Breaking News: (not so breaking anymore) Beyonce and Jay-Z welcome their first child, Blue Ivy-Z, to the world. I’m not sure if that’s her official last name, but I’m assuming since her mother clearly doesn’t seem to have one. And Z is apparently her father’s.
At first I thought the name was interesting and not something completely repulsive (like Moroccan). But after watching educational programs, like TMZ, I discovered where their inspiration for the name came from. Poppa Z picked Blue because of something to do with his rap albums and (brace yourself) Beyonce (BRACE yourself) chose Ivy because IV is the roman numeral for her favorite number: 4. Four real?
Beyonce, you didn’t just embarrass that child; you’ve embarrassed yourself. Then again, it’s not the first time.
